Requesting Permission to Work in Bridging Visa

Situation: I recently applied for student visa class 500 and I found out that I can apply for permission to work while im in a bridging visa. To do this you need to login to your immi account and select your recent student visa application and click "update us" on the left hand side of the page and click the link that says "apply for bridging visa" then it will give you a different page asking if you need to apply for bridging visa B or apply for permission to work. Then, They will just ask you if you're experiencing financial hardship and such. Its pretty straight forward and dont forget to click submit after finishing these steps.

I tried to apply for permission to work since my study will commence on 5th of September 2016.

Cheers!

Student Visa 500 | Visitor visa to Student visa

So, you attended one of the school seminar or orientation here in Australia that makes you decide to study here in Australia. From my point of view, I decided to advance my study here in Australia simply because I want to apply for higher position if I wanted to go back in the Philippines.

This application is based on my experience.

NOTE: I am in Australia since February 2016.

Here's my situation before then.

I applied my first visitors visa in the Philippines last November 8 2015 and granted on January 8 2016 that's after 2 month on waiting period but its pretty good though because I was granted 12 months multiple entry but 3 months per entry. I came here in Australia on 19th of February and I was able to apply my visa extension last April 27th and was granted after 2 weeks. I applied for another 12 months extension and they granted me up until February 8, 2017 of course its multiple entry and the restrictions of 3 months per entry was removed.

Days goes by, I attended the international orientation of Australian Institute of Academy that piqued out my interest to study here in Australia and to advance my skill in leadership. I decided to advance my study here in Australia and take up Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Extending Your Stay | Tourist Visa Extension in Australia

Q: So, What if I want to visit Australia more and stay for another month or more however, my visa will expire in 30 days what will I do It is possible?

A: So you decided to extend your stay in Australia and wanted to spend longer than your authorised stay. This will make your nerves stay calm and yes its possible I did this already. :)

Scenarios:

  • If wala Congrtas pwede ka mag apply ng extension.
Simple lang ang requirements nito pero I'll give you a scenario first.

Scenario 1: Si Juan ay na approved ng 1 year visa pero 3 months per visit lang so kelangan ni Juan na umalis ng Australia bago mag ika tatlong buwan paano gagawin nya?

Remember tourist visa only allow traveller to stay here in australia for one year ONLY unless you have compelling or valid reason para mag stay ng mas matagal sa isang taon.

A: If nadeny, mayroon kang 28 Days para umalis sa Australia.

Halimbawa:

  • I have 41 days left in Australia and I applied for extension however I got a refusal message from immigration on my 10 days remaining here in Australia. Is my original visa cancelled?
    • NO, because you still have your original visa active and the bridging visa you received is still not active.
  • I applied my visa extension on my 10 days left in Australia, however my stay is overdue for another 10 days now and I received a refusal letter from immigration what do I do now?
    • You have 28 calendar days to leave Australia and you cannot use your original visa to come back again because its now cancelled.
Q: Whay if I want to apply for student visa rather than visitors visa extension?
A: Ibang usapan na yan.. Magpopost ako ng Iba. Stay up to date. :)

Q: Pag nagapply ba ako online kelangan ng valid/active email?
A: Oo naman teh, dun sila nageemail pag may kelangan pa sila sayo at dun din sila mag sesend kung approved yung visa mo.

Q: Anu mas mabilis VFS or Online?

Again it will not impact your visa application.

A: Look for banks na nagoofer ng prepaid visa/master cards click here. Or I suggest sa eastwest bank kayo mag apply or BPI, sabihin nyo lang mag aaply kayo ng prepaid debit cards.

Q: Meron na akong credit card and debit card whats next?

Pwede mo din naman lagay na "I want to visit AU and my relatives", or lagyan mo ng dates or events like " Want to see vivid Sydney on July then attend boxing day on December and Birthday on February." yan.

A: Actually, they never ask for that anymore unless nakukulangan sila sa financial documents mo, pero rare case lang to.

Q: Magkano ba?
A: Dito tayo magkakatalo talo, VFS vs. Online FIGHT!
